With 14 years of science writing experience, I have worked in almost every medium: newspapers, feature magazines, radio, web, and books. I write predominantly about modern and historical astronomy and physics, but over the years I have tackled a wide range of subjects from travel to aphrodisiacs to reviews.

Since 1998, I have been a full-time freelance writer and have written four books: Einstein: A to Z (Wiley, 2004), a comprehensive encyclopedia, co-authored with Aries Keck, of Einstein's life, science, and philosophies; The Big Bang Theory: What it is, Where it Came From, and Why it Works (Wiley, 2002), which is the first book in a Wiley series on significant science theories; The Chain Reaction: Profiles in Nuclear Science (Grolier, 1998), a book for young adults on nuclear physics; and The Universe's Birthday (Charlesbridge, 2008) a children's book on cosmology.
